The Windwood Music Festival is dedicated to fostering creativity in music while bridging the gap between classical and contemporary genres. Based in the vibrant city of Calgary, this festival brings together artists and local communities, showcasing innovative musical performances across diverse public spaces.
Founded in 2022 by violinist Maitreyi Muralidharan and pianist Tong Wang, the festival represents a commitment to sustainability and community-building. By hosting events in parks, cafes, and other venues, we invite the community to experience the connection between music and their surroundings. Our mission is to create a nurturing space for artists and audiences alike, promoting accessibility in the arts and celebrating the beauty of connection.
